Liquid cooled thermoelectric air conditioners have no fans on the environment side, so they are inherently good in hazardous or hostile environments.

This so because these air conditioners can be deployed entirely inside the enclosure to be cooled without adding to the heat load. Total heat load is piped away via a constant flow of water.
