The story behind
"What's Old"
TECA has a very
interesting 20+ year history of its own, but do you know
where we came from?
We can trace TECA’s roots
back to the mid 1950's as part of Borg-Warner
Corporation and their Norge Appliance Division and York
Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Divisions.
These units did
pioneering work in the field of thermoelectric cooling,
metallurgy, physics, refrigeration, air conditioning and
even ice making in the Chicago area Borg-Warner Research
Center.
The photos in this
section depict many of the past projects and
individuals; trials and errors that contributed to what
we represent today.
Our goal is to continue
setting the standard in thermoelectric cooling by
monitoring and improving our operations to meet our
customers’ needs and exceed their expectations......but
we remember our past!
