Satellite Communication – Long Service Life:
A testament to TECA quality and reliability, this image shows a 130 foot radio telescope at a research observatory. The red arrow indicates the location of the the TECA air conditioner. TECA’s AHP-1200 is installed there to control the temperature of a 2′ x 2′ x 4′ insulated electronics box . The AHP-1200 runs continuously, 24/7, to control the internal temperature to about +25C. The ambient temperatures range between -10C to +40C.
This is the second AHP-1200 purchased for this equipment, after the customer’s previous TECA unit ran for nearly 10 years before the external fan failed. The customer inexpensively replaced the fan and now keeps the old unit as a spare.
