The AHP-1200CXP is TECA’s first solid state air conditioner designed for use in hazardous environments in the United Kingdom and European Union. The AHP-1200CXP features a unique air moving device that eliminates static discharge that traditional fans can generate. A compressed air line is required for the air moving device. The AHP-1200CXP has been successfully implemented
with a purged enclosure and other approved equipment in pharmaceutical, petrochemical and other similar applications.

The “XP” and "CXP" thermoelectric air conditioners are designed for cooling Class I Division II (C1 D2, CI D2) and Class I Division I (C1 D1, CI D1) enclosures, respectively. The products on this page are all through-mounted. The internal side or “cold side” of the air conditioner will intrude into your enclosure, leaving the external side or “hot side” outside of your enclosure. Mounting gasket and hardware are always included.

TECA’s thermoelectric air conditioners (Peltier coolers) for C1D2 (CID2) and C1D1 (CID1) enclosures excel in these hazardous environments and high ambients. Built with mil-spec hot side fans the Class I Division II "XP" air conditioners (panel coolers) can be exposed to hazardous environments as well as rain, wash-down, salt spray, blowing sand and shock, per Mil-Std 810 (Shock & Corrosion) and the NEMA-4/4X environment rating. Our Peltier air conditioners (Peltier coolers) are often used for cooling in applications including COTS, shipboard, military communications, mobile military units, manufacturing facilities,
laboratories, and more.

TECA's thermoelectric Class I Division I "CXP" air conditioners (Peltier coolers) are the first solid state air conditoners designed for use in Class I Division 1 (Groups B, C and D) and hazardous environments in North America and the U.K./European Union ATEX Zone 1, respectively. The "CXP" models feature a unique air moving device that eliminates the static discharge that traditional fans can generate. A compressed air line is required for the air moving device. The "CXP" products have been used in pharmaceutical and petrochemical applications.

The solid-state construction is the perfect low-maintenance solution for hard-to-access areas. There are no filters to change and no moving parts except for the fans. Our Peltier coolers use robust thermoelectric modules (Peltier cooler) and boast a long service life.
