TECAs TGB-5030 Gradient Bar option expands the use of the AHP-1200CPV line of Cold Plates. With TECA model AHP-1200CPV cold plate at each end the gradient bar has programmable gradient areas with near linear gradients between the two ends and near uniform temperatures along the width of the bar. The temperature at each end of the gradient area can be programmed to a single set point or with a ramp/step and soak profile creating constant, expanding, contracting or moving gradients. Set the gradient profile to be large for initial observations then adjust the end set points to zoom in on a temperature range of interest. The temperature at the end of the gradient area is measured from underneath the plate at approximately .05 from the surface leaving the top gradient area clean and smooth. Optional external surface sensors can be used to change the size of the gradient area.

TECA’s TGB-2515 Gradient Bar option expands the use of the AHP-301CPV line of Cold Plates. With a TECA model AHP-301CPV cold plate at each end the gradient bar has programmable gradient areas with near linear gradients between the two ends and near uniform temperatures along the width of the bar. The temperature at each end of the gradient area can be programmed to a single set point or with a ramp/step and soak profile creating constant, expanding, contracting or moving gradients. Set the gradient profile to be large for initial observations then adjust the end set points to zoom in on a temperature range of interest. The temperature at the end of the gradient area is measured from underneath the plate at approximately .05 from the surface leaving the top gradient area clean and smooth. Optional external surface sensors can be used to change the size of the gradient area.

TECA's thermoelectric (Peltier) Air-Cooled Laboratory Cold/Hot Plates are perfect for use in laboratories or anywhere solid-state cooling or heating surfaces are needed. Applications include cooling and heating lab samples, tissue dissection (histology), quality control, pharmaceuticals, research, pain studies (thermal nociception) and more. Notably, the AHP-301CPV and AHP-1200DCP models have been used in published research articles (see 50 Years of Innovation section on this website for details, 2005 and 2009-2011).

Each thermoelectric Cold/Hot plate on this page include versatile features such as: integral programmable temperature controller, data logging software, RS-232 communications, integral RTD sensor, ability to switch to exterior sensor, and more.

Cold/Hot Plate surfaces can be smooth or include tapped accessory holes at no extra charge (see drawing). Accessories are available to help you further customize the plate to your application.

Almost every model has a high temperature version available for applications requiring heating above 90C.

Single Cold/Hot Plates include the thermoelectric AHP-301CPV and AHP-1200CPV. We also offer a Dual Cold/Hot Plate, the thermoelectric AHP-1200DCP. This unique Peltier product is intended primarily for pain research and behavior studies using lab animals. However, this product has been customized for other uses including large sample cooling and heating. Also of note, Cascade Cold Plate systems allow for cooling to temperatures as low as -50C.
