A sleeve accessory converts the Stir Plate into a direct-contact cooler. The same sleeve platform can accept a range of beaker sizes. Thermal contact is maintained with gap pads which provide a faster reaction time, a wider temperature range (-10 °C to 50 °C), and better temperature control.
Regardless of which accessory you use, stir mode will continuously mix contents, maintaining your solution. Magnetic stir bars with adjustable stir speed can be turned on or off at any time.
A Pulse Width Modulating (PWM) temperature controller is integral to the Stir Plate products. The PWM controller allows for continuous cooling or heating to a specific temperature. Long-term, consistent, and stable temperature control is achieved while maintaining the sample mix. There is a built-in temperature sensor or, the end user can use a remote temperature sensor (available as an add-on if needed).
The Magnetic Stirring Cold/Hot Plates are available in two sizes. The AHP-301MSP and the larger AHP-1200MSP. The table below shows a comparison between the two Magnetic Stir Plates.
