New UL/CSA & CE Certification
TECA has partnered with Intertek to obtain EMC & Safety certification on our high efficiency, high performance group of thermoelectric coolers. The AHP & FHP-2200-Series, the AHP & FHP-3200-Series, and the AHP & FHP-4200-Series are newly CE Marked and certified to:
- UL 60335-1 & 2-40
- CSA C22.2#60335-1 & 2-40
- IEC 60335-1 & 2-40
- CENELEC EN 61000-6-2 & EN 61000-6-4
The presence of the ETL-Listed Mark (by Intertek) on an electronic appliance shows that the product has undergone and passed testing to rigorous industry product-safety requirements. It is an important step in the product cycle because it demonstrates a commitment to the safety and quality of the product.
Electronics housed in cabinets and enclosures require thermal protection. Thermoelectric devices maintain closed-loop cooling in NEMA-12, 4, and 4X enclosures. TECA’s enclosure coolers maintain the integrity of the environment classifications, Nema, and ingress protection ratings (IP ratings) of the enclosures they are installed on.
Eco-Mode is a passive cooling mode which uses significantly less energy in low demand times. Eco-Mode can reduce the need for active cooling and thereby can reduce the cost of operation of TECA’s efficient thermoelectric cabinet coolers.
TECA’s Peltier (thermoelectric) air conditioners cool and protect electronics and cool and heat enclosures in a variety of industries. The products on this page are ideal for electronics protection in communications, transit cases, kiosks, control panels, crane control boxes and other heat sensitive equipment.
To perform product safety certification testing, manufacturers are required to use Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL) as qualified by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The NRTL Program is part of OSHA’s directive to ensure products are safe for use in the U.S. workplace. It qualifies the private-sector organizations it recognizes as capable of determining whether a product meets safety standards developed by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Underwriters Laboratories (UL), and others.
Regarding our product safety testing, there is a choice in NRTL testing partners to conduct the certification review. TECA partners with Intertek to provide our products with the ETL Listed Mark. The ETL Listed Mark is the legal equivalent to the UL and CSA Listed Marks. A product bearing the ETL Listed Mark is determined to have met the requirements of prescribed product safety standards. Intertek is an OSHA-qualified NRTL. Intertek is also accredited by the Standards Council of Canada as an accredited Testing Organization and Certification Body.
