The maintenance supervisor from an inspection company was experiencing over heating of his detectors which are used in his outdoor pipeline inspection process. TECA’s TLC-900 Liquid Chiller was mounted to the back of his truck to aid in cooling two detectors. The components had been close to over heating without the chiller. Using the chiller with 50 feet of hose, the customer obtained a good result, successfully cooling his components down several degrees (Celsius), to a safer and more reliable operating temperature.

The customer has purchased multiple TLC-900 Chillers for the same use in other trucks. With little maintenance required, the TLC-900 has versatile features such as universal input (100-240 VAC), which is helpful in this application as the customer has inspections in Europe and in the USA. The same TLC-900 Chiller can be used in either locale. A PWM temperature controller offers USB communications, programmable ramp & soak profiles, and fan speed control for noise reduction.

Largest Cold/Hot Plates Updated with PWM Temperature Controller

TECA’s largest cold/hot plates, the AHP-1800CPV (single plate) and AHP-1200DCP (dual plates each with independent temperature control) are recently updated to include a new PWM temperature controller. It includes fan speed control which enables the Cold/Hot Plates to slow the fans automatically, reducing noise, as the unit reaches its set point. Another added benefit is that there are now four independent PID settings for different temperature ranges. USB communication port is included and Labview VI examples are available.

Internal Mount a New Option for Air Conditioners

When enclosure cooling is needed but space requirements do not allow for an air conditioner to be protruding outside of the enclosure, TECA has a line of “Internal Mount” coolers to do the job. Five new air conditioner series offer horizontal or vertical mounting internal to the enclosure. Performance rating range from 155 BTU/hr to 390 BTU/hr. As with all TECA air conditioners, versions for temperature control and different environment ratings are available. There are no refrigerants or compressors and no moving parts other than the fans. Thermoelectric cooling is reliable and nearly maintenance free, making these new enclosure coolers the perfect solution for remote or hard to access areas.

RLC-900 & RLC-1800 Liquid Chillers Redesigned

Rack Mounted Liquid Chiller Models RLC-900 and RLC-1800 are newly redesigned. The water fittings are now in the front as well as the back with the convenience of the end user in mind. Whether the chillers are mounted internally or externally, the user can access water inlet and outlet hoses from either end of the chiller. This can help save space, makes the chiller easier to use and increases the versatility of the product.
