TECA now offers a 690 watt product with a 13.3 x 20.3 inch flat plate surface for heating and cooling. See New, Even Larger AHP-5400CPV!

TECA Corporation has introduced a new enclosure cooler series. The AHP-2259 Series of thermoelectric air conditioners features universal input voltage. Designed to run off of 100 to 240 volts AC, the units can be easily utilized anywhere. There is a high-efficiency version which provides 1330 BTU/hr of cooling with a C.O.P. rating of 1.35. For more cooling, the high-capacity version is capable of 1820 BTU/hr (C.O.P. rating is .65). Both versions include the energy-saving ECO-Mode for passive cooling during lower demand times. Heat/Cool or Cool-only configurations are available. End users can specify NEMA-12 or NEMA-4 as well as temperature control options.

Coldest Liquid Cooled Plate Updated with PWM Temperature Controller
TECA’s liquid cooled cold/hot plates, the LHP-1200CPV (single stage) and LHP-1200CAS (two and three stage cascade system) are recently updated to include a new PWM temperature controller. It includes fan speed control which enables the Cold/Hot Plates to slow the fans automatically, reducing noise, as the unit reaches its set point. Another added benefit is that there are now four independent PID settings for different temperature ranges. USB communication port is included and Labview VI examples are available.

TECA Model AHP-1801XPHC-1 Thermoelectric Air Conditioner is used to enable the safe installation of a gas chromatography system into hazardous locations. Most installations are rated Class 1, Groups C & D, Division II. However in some cases the installations require Group B and/or Group A. TECA’s AHP-1801XPHC-1 maintains the interior of the Process Analyzer Enclosure at a control temperature of around 70o °F. It meets the various requirements of all the installation environments.
This system is installed in Refining, Petrochemical, Upstream and other applications requiring the aforementioned safety ratings. Controlling the temperature of the equipment enclosure rather than the entire shelter allows for far more economical plant installations even in very cold or very hot environments.
Our customer reports:
“Simply protecting our Process Analyzer Enclosure from direct sunlight and precipitation is enough using the AHP-1801XPHC-1. The TECA Air Conditioner has plenty of capacity to handle the most demanding environments such as the Texas Gulf Coast and even in Alberta, CA. See the actual plant installation picture where 3 Process Enclosures are shown. The TECA Air Conditioners are clearly evident below each analyzer. These units have been in operation for more than 2 years without maintenance, without downtime. This says a lot about the capability and capacity of the TECA product in a tough environment. And the analyzers have performed flawlessly delivering control quality composition data to the plant process control computer.

A manufacturer of specialty materials required cooling and heating of small enclosures. The system pictured here is used for the mixing of helium and hydrogen with dew point control.
TECA Model AHP-301FFHC is used with a TECA PID temperature controller to regulate the temperature of the enclosure in order to establish the moisture content of the “wet gas”, which is blended with dry gas to fix the dew point by way of the Buck Equation.
The customer is pleased with the results and continues to build more systems using TECA air conditioners and temperature controllers.
the AHP-301FF series is now replaced by newer model the AHP-401 series.

A user of the Model AHP-6250 Solid-State Air Conditioner gives a wonderful example of the benefit of TECA’s newly introduced line of high-capacity thermoelectric air conditioners.
Designed to cool larger enclosures than was previously practical with thermoelectric technology, the AHP-6250 is one of the largest models in this group. For example, the enclosure pictured here is about 8 x 6 x 3 feet. The customer is able to achieve large enclosure cooling with a single thermoelectric air conditioner. Thermoelectric cooling is reliable and maintenance free.
TECA’s new high-capacity line has some thoughtful design features, as seen pictured here on the installed AHP-6250. The cold side (internal to enclosure) has a low profile, which translates into less intrusion into the enclosure, giving the user more room for whatever the enclosure is meant to hold. The robust mounting flange, gasket and hardware and centrally located power input contribute to user-friendly installation. Finally, high air-flow fans and high fin-density heat sinks on the cold side maximize performance and minimize condensation. An integral condensate removal system absorbs condensation and transports it to the hot side, where it gets evaporated into the ambient.

Maintain the temperature of a battery bank in a Class 1 Division 2 explosion proof environment to power portable communications equipment. A special purpose vehicle manufacturer needed to maintain the temperature of a bank of batteries to maintain maximum performance.
With our recommendation, the customer selected the TECA Model AHP-1800XP, because it is the only NEMA4X air conditioner available off-the-shelf, which is also certified for C1D2 use. The power source was able to meet the requirement of operation in a Class 1 Division 2 explosion proof environment, to support portable communications systems at car racing venues.
